2020 - Summer
Even during the strict curfews in the country and the official closure of the schools, we made plans to save this difficult school year. Starting in May, every Monday and Wednesday, we laid out homework for our students in the secretary's office, which the parents could pick up - and at the same time handed in the completed tasks from the previous week. In this way, we did the prescribed amount of learning as best we could and at the end we offered proper final exams. Of course with due distance.

The exams have now all been passed and the certificates distributed. A few stragglers, whose marks left something to be desired, are just getting extra tuition, then they can make a second attempt. We hope that we will be able to return in September to the scheduled lessons. This decision, however, is ultimately up to the government and its assessment of the infection situation in the country.

Either way, we are happy and grateful that despite the pandemic we were able to give our more than 300 students the chance to finish the school year and move on in autumn.

The many months of closure we used for renovation work and to replant our school garden.
